Braised Beef Short Ribs

These @harveybeefwa ribs, bathed in a rich red sauce, boast an incredible depth of flavor and are super simple to make! Just imagine beef so tender it practically melts in your mouth. Steps
  1. Slice the set of short ribs in to individual ribs then chop in half again.
  2. Season all sides generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  3. Add olive oil to a large pot and sear off all sides of the ribs over high heat.
  4. Once browned remove and set aside on a chopping board.
  5. To the same pot add 2 chopped carrots, 1 chopped brown onion and 2 stalks of chopped celery.
  6. Stir and allow the vegetables to sweat in the pot for 10 minutes.
  7. Add 1 tub of tomato paste to the pot and stir through the vegetables.
  8. Place the browned short ribs back in to the pot along with 1L beef stock and 1-1.5 large jars of passata sauce.
  9. Place the lid on the pot and allow to simmer for 3-3.5 hours- Once the short ribs are cooked and fork tender gently remove them and set aside on a plate.
  10. Purée the sauce with a stick blender and allow to reduce for 25-30 mins.
  11. Once you are happy with the sauce spoon plenty straight over the top of the ribs.
  12. Garnish with finely chopped fresh Italian Parsley and enjoy 🤗
