Cowboy Butter Steak Bites
Looking for a delicious meal to feed the whole family? Then this recipe is for you! @harveybeefwa scotch fillet seared hot and fast, then tossed in a rich, buttery sauce to finish. Serve over rice, and you are ready to eat. Full written recipe below ⬇️
Steps
- Slice 2 Harvey Beef scotch fillet steaks in to thick cubes.
- Lightly season all sides with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Add oil to a pan set over high heat.
- Add the steak to the pan and sear in all sides until caramelised.
- Remove the seared steak and set aside.
- To the same pan add 175g unsalted butter, 4 diced garlic cloves, 1/2 finely diced shallot, 1 tsp red chilli flakes, 1 tbsp thyme, 1 tbsp of dijon mustard and the juice of a lime.
- Allow the butter to melt and mix to combine, then lightly season to taste with salt.
- Add the steak back in to the pan and toss through the cowboy butter for a further 3 minutes.
- Take the pan off the heat and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve the steak bites over white rice with plenty of the cowboy butter spooned over the top.
- Garnish with chopped fresh chives and serve 🥰
