Jalapeño Sausage Poppers
Just in time for the Grand Final weekend, this BBQ recipe is a must-try! Traditional jalapeño popper filling wrapped in a delicious @harveybeefwa smokey sausage.
Steps
- Slice the Harvey Beef Sausages down the middle and create a pocket for the filling.
- For the filling combine 1 tub of cream cheese, chopped bacon, 1 finely chopped fresh jalapeño, 1/3 cup grated cheese and 2 tbsp of your favourite BBQ rub.
- Mix well, then spoon the filling on top of the sausages.
- Add a sprinkle of cheese on top of the filling
- Add slices of pickled jalapeños on top.
- Transfer to a wire rack, then in to your Smoker or BBQ set for roughly 140C cooking temperature.
- Allow to cook indirectly for 50 mins - 1 hour until fully cooked.
- Transfer to a plate and serve!
