Jalapeño Sausage Poppers

Just in time for the Grand Final weekend, this BBQ recipe is a must-try! Traditional jalapeño popper filling wrapped in a delicious @harveybeefwa smokey sausage.

Steps
  1. Slice the Harvey Beef Sausages down the middle and create a pocket for the filling.
  2. For the filling combine 1 tub of cream cheese, chopped bacon, 1 finely chopped fresh jalapeño, 1/3 cup grated cheese and 2 tbsp of your favourite BBQ rub.
  3. Mix well, then spoon the filling on top of the sausages.
  4. Add a sprinkle of cheese on top of the filling
  5. Add slices of pickled jalapeños on top.
  6. Transfer to a wire rack, then in to your Smoker or BBQ set for roughly 140C cooking temperature.
  7. Allow to cook indirectly for 50 mins - 1 hour until fully cooked.
  8. Transfer to a plate and serve!
