Steps
  1. Add olive to a hot pan then add the Harvey Beef Gourmet Selection Parsley and Garlic Meatballs.
  2. Season lightly with Tuscan seasoning and brown off on all sides.
  3. Once the meatballs have good colour remove and set aside.
  4. To the same pan add 1 diced brown onion, 4 cloves of finely diced garlic and sweat off.
  5. Once the garlic and onion has softened deglaze the pan with red wine.
  6. Once the red wine has reduced add 2 bottles of quality Italian passata and mix.
  7. Once the sauce has come to the boil turn the heat down to a simmer and add the meatballs back in.
  8. Allow to simmer, stirring every half an hour for 2-3 hours until the flavour has intensified.
  9. Once the meatballs are ready slice crusty Italian baguettes down the middle to make your sub.
  10. Add a generous serving of the cooked meatballs and pour sugo over the bread.
  11. Add plenty of mozzarella cheese over the top then place in the oven for 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
  12. Remove and top with a sprinkle of chopped fresh Italian parsley.
  13. Slice and enjoy with your family and friends.
