Bolognese Tacos
Forget about spaghetti, this is our NEW favourite way to enjoy @harveybeefwa gourmet selection burgers. Corn tortillas filled with delicious beef slow cooked in an Italian sauce. Does it honestly get any better for a quick and easy meal? Here’s our latest recipe using Harvey Beef gourmet parsley and garlic burgers.
Steps
- Add olive oil to a cast iron pan set over high heat.
- Add 1 chopped brown onion, 3 cloves minced garlic, 1 finely diced red chilli and 1 grated carrot.
- Sauté the vegetables and allow them to sweet off for 3-4 minutes.
- Add 4 Harvey Beef Gourmet Selection burgers to the pan and chop them up.
- Add a generous amount of salt, pepper and garlic powder to the meat and continue to brown for a further 4 minutes.
- Add 2 tbsp of tomato paste and mix well.
- Add 1/2 cup red wine and 1 jar of quality Italian passata.
- Mix well over medium heat and allow to reduce and thicken for 10-15 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked bolognese to a tray and clean the cast iron pan.
- Dip the corn tortillas in to the bolognese mixture, coating one side.
- Place face down in to the hot pan and cook for 1 minute.
- Add a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese on the tortilla.
- Add 2 generous spoonfuls of the bolognese and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Sprinkle fresh Italian parsley over the top and allow to grill until slightly browned.
- Close the tortilla over the meat with a spatula and allow the cheese to melt.
- Once happy remove and serve them straight on to a plate.- Garnish with a final sprinkle of Italian parsley for freshness and enjoy 🤗
